Meet Our Pets!
(past and present!)
Meet HOLLY!  She's our
9-year-old Great Dane, who's lived
with us since she was just a puppy.
Holly enjoys sleeping on the couch,
sleeping on any bed, crunchy dog
cookies, the occasional peanut butter
jar, trips to Florida in February, and
lots of hugs and kisses.

Her greatest accomplishment, besides
making it thru her turbulent puppy
years, is becoming an official
"Worship Service Dog" at Beach
United Methodist Church in Ft Myers
Beach, Florida.
MEET THE CATS!
We have the BEST cats anywhere!  Our current
greenhouse residents include three 11-year-old cats
(a brother and sister pair, and their cousin) and two
2-year-old cats (again, a brother and sister).  They
are all in charge of customer care, purring, and
rodent control.
MEET TULIP!
Tulip is most likely to be found in a basket in the greenhouse, has the best
purr of any of the cats, and is the champion mouse-and-rabbit catcher.  He
loves people and will usually give "kitty kisses" on request.  He is the
favorite, but don't tell the others!
MEET THYME!
Thyme was the smallest of the group of kittens born 11 years ago...and
now he's the biggest of the bunch!  He's all tan, very huggable, and has an
outie belly button (!) which he is usually willing to show in exchange for a
tummy rub.  He has purr issues, and it sounds more like a grunt, but is
just as sincere!  He is the favorite, but don't tell the others!
MEET VIOLET!
long-haired tiger girl.  Many have speculated Violet has some Maine Coon
in her background, she has declined to comment (as usual).  Violet enjoys
walking the rafters of the greenhouse, ignoring Jane and Rachel, and
hissing at the other cats.  If she honors you with her affection, consider
yourself special.
MEET GRACIE!
Gracie (a thankfully shorter version of her official name, Gracillimus) is
one of the newest kitties, and is still learning the ways of a
customer-service greenhouse cat.  She has a lovely purr, enjoys tummy
rubs, and is a junior mouser (we think Tulip is teaching her!).  You'll see
her darting past in the greenhouse.
MEET COSMO!
Cosmo (again, a thankfully shorter name for Cosmopolitan, an ornamental
grass) is Gracie's brother and is much friendlier than this picture looks!
He's a big puff ball of fur, right down to his paws, has a lovely purr, and
enjoyed the straw maze this year...and loves kids best!
PAST PETS...Dearly Loved and Still Greatly Missed
CONCOLOR
Concolor was our
first Great Dane,
and just the best
dog you could ever
hope to have.  He
loved people,
protected the cats,
took great care of
Rachel, and his
favorite food was
raw potatos.  He
was only 7 when he
died, and we'll miss
him forever.
PHOENIX
Phoenix was the original nursery dog,
and was an 11th-hour rescue from the
humane society--and was fantastic!
He was Shepherd, Great Dane and
part of the crazy, early days of Lodi
Farms, and was such a great dog.
He'll be Forever in our hearts.
MEET CAM! (for Chamaecyparis, of course!)
Cam is our "half cat."  He lets us feed him, occasionally pet him
(especially Jane and Ginny) but isn't quite ready to be a full-fledged
nursery cat.  He has a wonderful speaking voice, a slow purr, and
extremely soft, thick fur.  Tell the other cats to trust him,
please...then maybe he'll stay forever!
Watch for our BILLBOARD on I-94
westbound near Huron Street...
featuring HOLLY!
Thirteen (13--really?!) years ago our mama cats,
sisters Sage and Daisy, had their kittens 3 days
apart.  Sage had Lavender, Mint and Thyme;
Daisy had Tulip, Violet, Lily and Yarrow.
Everyone grew up together in the big basket, and
the mama cats both took care of all the kittens.
Don't you just love this picture?!
